İstanbul Modern, Türk sanatının en önemli isimlerine ayırdığı retrospektifler dizisinin üçüncü sergisinde çok yönlü sanatçı Cihat Burak'ı konuk ediyor. "Cihat Burak Retrospektifi"nde, modern Türk resminin sıradışı ustasının 50 yıllık sanatsal üretimi ilk kez bütün yönleriyle sunuluyor, sanatı, hayatın bir yansıması olarak gören mimar, ressam ve öykü yazarı Cihat Burak'ın gerçekle düşün iç içe geçtiği, masalsı dünyası yansıtılıyor. Küratörlüğünü Levent Çalıkoğlu'nun üstlendiği "Cihat Burak Retrospektifi", çok yönlü sanatçının 50 yıllık sanatsal üretimini bir araya getiriyor. Sergide Cihat Burak'ın resim, seramik ve baskı teknikleriyle gerçekleştirdiği yaklaşık 232 yapıtı yer alıyor, sanatçının farklı konu başlıkları altında bir araya getirilen çalışmaları dönemsel bir akış eşliğinde sunuluyor.

İstanbul Modern welcomes versatile artist Cihat Burak in the third exhibition of the retrospective series dedicated to the most outstanding names of Turkish contemporary art. Expanding over a period of fifty years, the artistic production of this unconventional master of modern Turkish art is presented in its entirety for the first time through this exhibition. "Cihat Burak Retrospective" reflects the enchanting world of architect, painter, and writer Cihat Burak, who sees art as a mirror image of life in which reality and imagination are closely intertwined. Curated by Levent Çalıkoğlu, "Cihat Burak Retrospective" brings together a number of works that mark 50 years of the versatile artist's creative production. Comprised of 232 works by Cihat Burak, the exhibition will include paintings, ceramics, and print works. Presented in a chronological framework, the artist's works will be collected under various headings.
