A facsimile edition of eight stunning panoramic watercolor illustrations from Constantinople that were executed in 1582 by Zacharias Wehme. The paintings depict imperial processions (the sultan going to Friday prayer, the sultan setting out on a hunt, the procession of the queen mother, a wedding procession, a harem entertainment scene, ladies proceeding to the baths, the arrival of the Crimean embassy at Topkapi Palace, and an imperial residence) have been faithfully reproduced by Swiss and Italian printing specialists. The accompanying text is by Dr Esin Atil, a respected authority on Ottoman art. 34.5 by 46.5 cms, 16 text pages, 8 folded plates. Album format. (Currently out of print.)

J 2a).
İtalya'da 1100 adet basılmıştır. Numaralı nüsha: 910/1100.
