In 1705, when Daniel Jeanrichard installed a workshop at Le Locle, he was not aware that he was giving birth to one of the key places of Swiss precision horology. 1843. birth of Georges Favre-Jacot, who at 22 years old, founded the ZENITH watch factory. He was one of the first to understand the importance of the nterchangeability of parts for rationalising production and there by improving precision and reliability of mechanical watches. He grouped together all the different areas and "savoir-faire" that make up horology.
Thus, one of the very first and real Swiss manufacturing company's was born.
Through its numerous innovations, ZENITH has always contributed to the development of top class Swiss horology.
