Using advanced photographic techniques, architect Ahmet Ertug has, for the first time, captured the vibrant colors and sinuous draftsmanship of 16th-century Turkish tiles so that they can be reproduced on the printed page in all their glory. The images are rounded out by an essay on the history and development of the art of Ottoman Turkish tiles contributed by Dr Walter B. Denny, a noted American scholar and expert on Turkish art. 32.5 by 41 cms, 190 pages (102 full-page color plates, 3 fold-outs). Clothbound and presented in a slipcase.
