Published in the context of the exhibition which was formed with works selected from the Ömer Koç Collection, the publication titled Suppose You Are Not sheds light on the diverse mediums and themes the exhibition encompasses while exploring the relations that emerge through the juxtapositions offered by a collection.

Beginning with Selen Ansen's curatorial text titled “A Door either Open or shut”, the book features art historian Claudia Swan's essay titled “A World of Wonders”, which focuses on the history of wonders and a particular form of collecting known as cabinets of curiosities [Wunderkammern], and author Cana Bostan's text titled “The Ecology of a House of Correspondence”, which interprets the practice of collecting through the concepts of collective unconscious, desire and history. Designed by Yeşim Demir Pröhl, the book also includes exhibition views and reproduction photos captured by Orhan Cem Çetin and Hadiye Cangökçe.

Titled with inspiration from a line in Omar Khayyam's (1048–1131) Rubaiyat [Quatrains], the exhibition Suppose You Are Not probes the ways in which the domestic context of a collection can be transferred into a museum context. In so doing, it explores the possibilities of restaging and articulating the affinities created between distinct objects by means of a collector's desires and endeavours. The exhibition, which brings together works by almost 400 artists, anonymous artefacts and mass-produced items, as well as multifarious objects, also distinguishes itself as the first private collection exhibition held at Arter.
