We have been collecting the original patterns, decorations, colours and dying techniques of traditional Turkish rugs by surveying museums, mosques and private collections all over the Anatolia, according to the project called "Handwoven Turkish Carpets Project" (TEH) . With this project downscale villagers find the opportunity to get a good income by weaving madder dyed pure wool carpets. Our archives' collection of 5000 historical carpet photographs is a result of a very meticulous study. The 5 volumes of “Turkish Handwoven Carpets” catalogue consist of 500 distinguished samples of that collection.
