The story which ı will be unfolding before you in this book is the history of the Kırklareli branch of the Adato family into which ı was born. This family is therefore credited with half the genes that you have inherited from your parents. The history begins about the year 1800, when my great - great - great - grandfather founded the branch in Kırklareli, a small town in eastern Thrace, in the present - day Republic of Turkey. The town is situated not far from the meeting point of the borders of Turkey, Greece and Bulgaria.
