The fact that elementary school teachers teach many different school subjects is one of the important characteristics that distinguish them from subject teachers. This aspect of elementary school teaching has been a research topic that has attracted the attention of educational researchers. This research topic has also attracted my interest and curiosity as a graduate of an elementary school teacher education program and as an academic who previously worked as an elementary school teacher. This book is the result of research conducted with such interest and curiosity.

This book presents a study on the willingness to teach and the perception of teaching difficulty among pre-service elementary school teachers in relation to four school subjects: mathematics, science, social studies, and Turkish. I hope that it will be especially useful for researchers in the field of elementary school teacher education and for any individuals with an interest in this field.
